My experience with online education at UNM has been incredibly positive and empowering. As a parent and nontraditional student, the flexibility of online courses allowed me to balance my academic goals with my family responsibilities without sacrificing the quality of my education. I felt supported, challenged, and truly seen as a student, which played a major role in my growth and success at UNM.

I would encourage future online students to stay organized, set consistent study times, and communicate openly with their instructors—they truly want to see you succeed. Take advantage of the support resources UNM offers and don’t hesitate to ask for help when you need it. Most importantly, believe in yourself and your ability to thrive in an online environment. Flexibility can be a powerful tool when paired with commitment and purpose.
