Student.unm.edu is a one-stop information source for UNM academic services, social activities, cultural activities, and health and wellness support, on and off campus.

Academic Grievances

The University of New Mexico takes student complaints seriously and has processes in place to ensure those complaints are investigated thoroughly. Policies regarding student conduct and grievance procedures are outlined in the student handbook, The Pathfinder. Procedures for addressing academic complaints differ between undergraduate and graduate students. All UNM students -- including those enrolled in online programs – are expected to follow the policies and procedures detailed in The Pathfinder.

Online students should also be aware of regulations specific to distance education. Membership to the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement allows UNM to meet the standards necessary to deliver education across state lines. There are also legal disclosures for the University’s educational pathways that lead to a professional license. It is important for an online learner, with intention to practice in a field that requires a professional license, to be familiar with the rules for obtaining the license and being certain about whether it is recognized outside New Mexico.

University Libraries

UNM's University Libraries offer students access to all of the Library's resources online. If you need additional assistance, the Ask a Librarian tool is available by chat, text, email, or phone. The Adobe Creative Commons is now available for students on the first floor of Zimmerman Library
